PvE and PvP: two modes, two risk profiles
Unusually for an extraction shooter, this one ships with a clearly separated co-op PvE mode alongside its PvP mode. Here is what has actually been shown of each.
Co-op PvE
Squads of 3 against monster hordes, on Boreas Isle. The PvE gameplay trailer released on 30 July 2026 is the main source of footage. Enemies draw from a wide horror range — the studio has described everything from Lovecraftian entities to creepypasta-style creatures.
PvP
Rival squads contest The Vertex, the artifact that is the run's main objective. The core tension the studio keeps describing is the exfil choice: take a safe, low-value extraction, or commit to the final extraction point where the valuable objective is and where everyone else will be.
The decision that defines a run
| Safe extraction | Leave early, keep what you scavenged, low value. |
|---|---|
| Final exfil | One helicopter, the main objective, and whoever else survived. |
Still unknown
- Whether PvE and PvP share progression, gear and stash.
- Whether PvE is a separate queue or a PvP match with the players removed.
- Squad-size limits in PvP and whether solo queue exists.
- What you lose on death.
